Updated – ROOT presented at a webinar on GNSS organized by the Swedish Board of Radio Navigation

Update – On May the 11th, the webinar took place involving one hundred participants circa from all over Europe. Marco Pini, ROOT coordinator, presented the project and the latest developments on the OSNMA feature of the Galileo navigation system.

The ROOT partners have been invited to to present the project and to share their experience on GNSS interference, jamming and spoofing by the Swedish Board of Radio Navigation (RNN).

The webinar will focus on GNSS vulnerabilities, and on the new Galileo features that are going to be implemented in the next future (PRS, HAS, CAS, OS-NMA) to increase GNSS security. The webinar will be held in English.  Speakers will come from Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI), The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, NAVSEC, LINKS (as partner of ROOT) and the European GNSS Agency (GSA).

Marco Pini, ROOT coordinator and Head of the Space and Navigation Technologies Research Area at the LINKS Foundation, will provide to attendees an overview on our project from 16:00 to 16:20 with a presentation entitled “Use of authenticated Galileo signals for the synchronization of telecom networks: the H2020 ROOT project”.
